The Players Alliance invested one million dollars to support communities of color in a safe, socially distant, and responsible capacity, while providing them with the resources they need most. Their needs are great, so our efforts must be greater. In order to institute significant changes, we need to be able to pull up to as many Black communities as possible to help give folks the resources they need, whether it be food, aid, comforts, and of course, access to equipment and spaces to play baseball.

Launched at All-Star Denver, the Players Alliance hosted a prestigious event at a local Black-owned restaurant in historic Five Points. Known in the early 20th century as the “Harlem of the West,” Five Points remains the perfect backdrop at the intersection of Black history and culture, setting the stage for this monumental night of conversation, networking, and community impact.
The cocktails and conversations format event was moderated by two-time All-Star and MLB Network Lead Studio Analyst Harold Reynolds, AMPLIFIED featured a six-person panel engaging in open, honest dialogue, utilizing the Alliance’s platform to connect city and state leaders directly with members of their communities.
