When the federal government shutdown disrupted the lives of military families across the country, The Players Alliance stepped forward to provide support where it was needed most.
Through the Home Base initiative, TPA launched a community event at U.S. Army Base Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia, one of the organization’s focus cities. The event brought together players, volunteers, and community partners to serve the families who serve and protect our country.
Military families facing financial strain during the shutdown received food, resources, and support from The Players Alliance and its partners. More than a single event, Home Base demonstrated the organization’s commitment to showing up for communities during moments of need.
By standing alongside military families, The Players Alliance reaffirmed a core belief: service extends far beyond the baseball field.
